Large clusters of fragrant, white flowers in the spring followed by purple-black fruits that are used to make jam, pie and wine. Tolerant of erosion, clay and wet soil. This big shrub responds well to hard pruning. To keep it to a manageable size, prune back by 1/2 or more every 3 years.
